It all starts with some packing paper and tape...

a single post... twelve months in the making

in May 2012, i went to one of my favorite dog walking spots and took a picture of the meadow along the Mendenhall River / Brotherhood Bridge Trail.  from my vantage point, you can usually see the Mendenhall Glacier.  of course, the view is obscured on Juneau's many overcast days.  i posted the picture on facebook with the caption: May 1st... Looking forward to watching this meadow bloom!  I received 9 likes and 1 comment.  ;)

i'm not sure what made me decide to do it, but i returned to the same spot once every month to take a picture from the same vantage point.  there are three blue sky days, but the rest of the days are cloudy.  some are downright gloomy!  i knew that if i took only sunny day pictures, it wouldn't be a faithful representation of the Juneau that i have grown to love... even when it rains... a lot!

time to watch it bloom again!
