We had a little excitement this afternoon... The power went out! A tree fell near Thane and cut power for a little over an hour. It was enough time to light some candles, reload the flashlights with fresh batteries, and start a fire. MN woke up from nap first, and we played games by the fire. I don't get too much time along with each of my girlies, so it was a nice quiet way to start the late afternoon.

We broke our car... again... Yesterday, it made a truly horrible noise! We decided it was best to leave it in the garage. As a one car family, this put a major crimp in our plans. Since the girls go to school in the valley (not walking distance!), we decided to rent a car for tomorrow. Tonight, we dropped off our all wheel drive vehicle (as it started to snow!) and picked up a Honda Accord. It's a great car, but the girls were most impressed with the soft, fuzzy seats (we have leather seats). I tried to explain how leather is easier to clean when they spill things and when the dog drools, but they were having none of it. They promise not to spill if we will get soft, fuzzy seats in our next car.

Tonight we met friends from Bill's office at the Buoy Deck for dinner. After dinner, a fellow diner started playing Wii on the big screen. The manager encouraged the boy to share with the girls, and the manager pulled out Wii bowling for them. It was a hoot watching the girls work super hard for each pin!
