We started the morning by taking the tram to the top of Mt. Roberts. There is a short 1/2 mile hike at the top that we tried to do with the girls, but MR was "running out of energy". Fortunately for MR, the trail was closed due to snow still lingering at the top. Instead of hiking, we hung out with "Lady Baltmore" (Lady Baltimore), the rescued eagle who lives outside the nature center. MR sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to her, and i wish i could have gotten a picture of Lady's expression!
After our trip down the tram, we went hunting for bunk beds. We were not successful. Usually i don't mind the limited shopping in Juneau, there are so many free shipping offers these days that with a little advance planning you really can get almost everything you need/want, but i haven't found any free shipping offers for bunk beds yet!
We had lunch at home, and then the girls went down for a nap. After nap, Bill took them to the playground while i went shopping downtown. We tried to eat dinner early so we could head over to Sandy Beach, but that is where our luck ran out... M+M are very slow eaters at dinner time. By the time they finished, we decided that an early bedtime was in everyone's best interest!
Tonight we are looking forward to lucky number 8!
