Exploring new paths...

After all of our talking and planning (almost a year of it!), A and i finally got to take off on a few trails without the kiddos! Last Friday we went to the airport trails. Monday, we walked the Auke Lake Trail and then explored the Dredge Lake area. Both of Monday's trails were new to both of us, so we had a blast looking around and checking everything out. We can't meet again until Wednesday. The forecast is calling for rain, but i will happily brave a light rain to check out a few more new trails! A did a better job describing the scene, here is a link to her blog post.

The weather last Thursday was crazy... Lots of wind and rain. Friday morning, the wind was still whipping the leftover clouds and showers around the sky.

Auke Lake Trail
The first two pictures were taken at the beginning of our walk, you can see the heavy fog over the water. I took the last 2 pictures at the end of our walk, the fog was lifting.... The sun came out right before i picked the girls up at school at 11:30, and the rest of the day was beautiful.

Dredge Lake Area
Loved seeing all the work the beavers had done!
