While we were in Hawai'i, Bill got a new surfboard. He used it while we were there, and it has been sadly sitting in our garage since our return to Juneau in April. Saturday, we dusted it off and loaded in onto the car for the trip to Kodiak. Luckily, we got to check it all the way through and didn't have to drag it in and out of the airport during our overnight layover in Anchorage. I think we would have given the hotel shuttle driver a conniption fit! On Sunday, Bill headed out to the local surf shop to get directions to the best surf spots. He was directed to Surfer's Beach in Pasagshak. It took almost an hour to get there, but the scenery along the way was amazing...

I know this is a lame comment, but all I wanted to say was "wow." These pictures are beautiful. I can't believe you are lucky enough to have lived in Hawaii and Alaska! Far from family, I know, but beautiful places!
